Kids Roman Costumes
Most children aren’t particularly interested in dressing up in kids Roman costumes, but I bet they’d love the gladiator costumes. Gladiators are such impressive characters to dress up at Halloween or fancy dress event. They are seen as handsome and brave heroes who fight with sword and shield in the amphitheatres of Rome to the delight of the crowds.

These gladiator costumes look really authentic, both coming with a tunic, body amour and attached cape. To finish off the gladiator look then add a pair of roman child sandals and gladiator combat shield and sword. You can see the shield and sword below on the left.
The Romans enjoyed gladiatorial games and they were extremely popular during the Roman empire. When we seek entertainment we go to the movies, watch television or play on our computers. In Roman times, gladiatorial contests were one of the main forms of entertainment. Unfortunately it was rather a bloody form of fun for the audience. Gladiators fought not only other gladiators to the death, but also animals such as bears, leopards and lions. It was all very violent. Gladiators very rarely survived more than ten matches or lived past the age of thirty.
There are even modern day gladiators as seen on television with the American Gladiators (2008). This is a competition where contestants have to prove their strength, agility and endurance, just like the gladiators of Rome except they do not fight to the death.
